This course will prepare currently working Medical Assistants to take a nationally recognized Medical Assistant credentialing exam to meet CMS order entry requirements. Participants will engage in self-directed learning which will include practice exams and an online course that will provide various resources to prepare for a credentialing exam.
Upon completion of the course, participants can choose to take any of the four nationally approved credentialing exams, based on their eligibility (see below web sites for eligibility information). Students who elect to register for a credit program at Jackson College may be awarded 30 credits for entering the Allied Health General Studies Associates of Applied Science program, with the CMA(AAMA) or RMA(AMT) credential.
